About this event
Won't you join the Marin Cyclists for a Biketoberfest Road Shake Out Ride to kick off a day of Biketoberfest fun.
Our multi levels Shakeout rides will start from Java Hut, Fairfax 9AM. Come early to get dialed in. Power up your ride with Jambar energy bars and Osmo hydration drink mix samples generously provided by the event creator of Biketoberfest, Marin County Bicycle Coalition. Thank you so much MCBC!!
Location: Java Hut Fairfax 760 Center Blvd, Fairfax CA 94930
Time: meet 8:45AM/roll 9AM
Routes: Multi levels Short 32mi/Social 38mi/Moderate 60mi
Getting to the start: Please consider riding to the start or park a distance away and ride in. There will be NO PARKING at Java Hut or at any of the neighboring parking lots or businesses in Fairfax
End of the Ride: All routes will end at the Biketoberfest festival grounds at the Marin Museum of Bicycling 1966 Sir Francis Drake, Fairfax CA 94930. Come check out the Biketoberfest!

Go all the way...Hicks Valley Rd to Marshall Petaluma Rd, back on Hwy 1, Pt. Reyes Station and the rest.

Biketoberfest festivities: 11AM-5PM
Bike valet: free bike valet parking on a first come first served basis at the Bank of America lot at 89 Broadway, Fairfax

After the ride, leave your bike with the bike valet and come check out the live music, demo bikes, unique hand-built frames by the Norcal Handmade Bike Collective and various exhibitor booths; the event is free to the community. There will be delectable lunch fares for purchase from the food vendor booths plus beer tastings (35 beers from 18 local brewers) and a take home souvenir glass for Biketoberfest ticket holders.
