Come for a soul enriching day of wandering via a roundabout way to Lombardi's Gourmet BBQ in Petaluma 3413 Petaluma Blvd N, Petaluma 94952 for lunch; check out their gargantuan menu of sandwiches, bbq meats, dinners and sides. Click on the Lombardi's logo below to view their menu.
2 Route options: 59 miles, then take the 3:22PM train back to San Rafael 59 mi Route Map or 83 miles, same base route, bike back to San Rafael instead of taking the train 83 mi Route Map .
Description: Depart from Pink Owl 2nd Street (not the one on 4th Street), SFR, White's Hill, Samuel P. Taylor Park, Olema, not stopping at Point Reyes Station, Marshall, Tomales, Middle Rd, Fallon Two Rock, Valley Ford Rd, Bodega Avenue. Arrive at Lombardi's before 2PM for lunch. Leave at 3PM then ride 3 miles to the downtown Petaluma station to catch the 3:22PM train back to San Rafael. Moderate and Brisk pace groups can elect either route and fall back with the Social Pace group anytime.
Time: Meet 8:30AM/Roll 8:45AM Sharp
Start: Pink Owl Coffee on 2nd Street (not the 4th Street outpost)
Routes: 59 miles/ +3,300' or 83 miles/ +4,000' ride back to the start
Pace: 59 mi Social pace (12.9-13.9 mph average speed over the entire ride) with Ride leader Susan Nawbary or Moderate/Brisk Pace participant led, Leaderless; find a small pod who ride the same speed as you and go.
Remarks: This ride is timed for arrival at Lombardi's before 2PM. If you plan to modify this route or ride it significantly faster or slower than the group pace you may end up riding apart from the group. Please provide your own navigation
