About this event


  1. TIME:  Meet 9:15AM/Roll 9:30AM
  2. LOCATION: McNear Park 1008 G Street, Petaluma, CA 94952 Map *Restrooms in the park next to the playground area; take the walkway straight to the park bathrooms and water.  Park anywhere on G Street.
  3. ARRIVAL:  Please be READY by the MEET time to listen to the Ride Leader's introduction, safety brief and any special instructions
  4. SIGN UP: Ride is open to women and women identified cyclists.  Non members/visitors are welcome to the 1st ride by registering in advance and signing a liability release online; for the 2nd ride and thereafter it is our club policy to have non-members sign up as a Marin Cyclists club member.
  5. PACE: Social Pace 12.0-13.5 mph for the entire ride including all climbs Legend & Pace Rating    
  6. ROUTE: Western, Chileno Valley, Twin Bridge Rd, Fallon 2 Rock, Spring Hill, Lohrman Ln, Skillman Ln, Lombardi's Deli and then back to the start.  Lunch at mile 34.5 then ride 3.5 miles back to the start.  *If you want to skip lunch and return to the start, continue straight on Western Avenue at mile 31.2, then right at Howard Street/6th Street and right again on G Street.  That will get you back to McNear Park.
  7. SUGGESTED REGROUPS: Regroups to be determined by the Ride Leader, Helen Putnam Park restrooms, Two Rock Church water and Lombardi's Deli.

NOT A NO DROP RIDE.  Not a beginner's ride.

Faster and Slower pace riders welcome but should be prepared to provide their own navigation.  If you ride way faster or slower than the main group you will be separated and will likely be riding on your own.  Try to find a small pod who knows the way and stick together.  Please review the route well in advance of the ride.  Download it to your bike computer or print out a cue sheet.

Registration is required
-All riders must register to ride, members and non-members
-20% or more chance of rain at noon cancels the ride
-Must wear a helmet
-Please make sure your bike is in good maintenance
-Bring spare tube(s), mini pump/C02, or tubeless repair kit as necessary
-Day time running lights are highly recommended
-Please obey all traffic rules
-Share the road, ride as far to the right as practicable
-Please download the route to your bike computer or print out a route sheet
-Respect the ride leader
