About this event
Another fun Social Pace caper with the mobile party team of Susan Nawbary and Helen Kwong...with laughs, stories, corny jokes and good food...not necessarily in that order but could be. What's not to like? Park at Novato San Marin Station parking lot. Please give yourself plenty of time to get ready. We'll do a one way roundabout ride up to Santa Rosa Downtown via west county roads. Helen Putnam Park Windsor Dr side, Spring Hill Rd, Two Rock, Valley Ford Store, Freestone, Occidental Main Street, Graton, Harrison Grade Rd, lunch in downtown Sebastopol at Lunch Box to pick up a cold one (see the menu below; click on it for the website), then a final flat 7 miles to the Santa Rosa 4th Street downtown SMART station to catch the 2:56PM back to Novato San Marin. Ride from your home to pile on some miles.
We'd love it if you can ride with us at the group's pace. If you wish to ride way faster or slower please provide your own navigation and please know that the earlier train from Santa Rosa is the 12:36PM and the later train is the 4:33PM.
Time: Meet 8:15AM/Roll 8:30AM Sharp
Start: Novato San Marin SMART Station parking lot **no restroom at the parking lot**
Route: 58 miles/+3,300 ft. Novato-Santa Rosa base route 58 miles
Pace: Social pace (12.9-13.9 mph average speed over the entire ride) with Ride leader Susan Nawbary or Moderate/Brisk Pace participant led, Leaderless; find a small pod who ride the same speed as you and go.
Remarks: This ride is timed for arrival at Lunch Box in Sebastopol at 1:05PM for lunch; we will leave Sebastopol at 2:05PM and ride 7 miles to Santa Rosa Downtown 4th Street station to take the 2:56PM southbound train; arrive in Novato San Marin Station at 3:34PM. If you plan to modify this route or ride it significantly faster or slower than the group pace you may end up riding apart from the group. Please provide your own navigation
