About this event
Come up to Cloverdale and spend the day with us. Ride one of Francis' favorite routes. She and Jan Lau will lead us on a relaxed Social Pace venture (12.9-13.9 mph average for the entire ride including all climbs.) Starting in Cloverdale we roll on Dutcher Creek Rd. After we pass Lake Sonoma Recreation Area at mile 8.5 the main climb of the day begins with Stewarts Pt-Skaggs Spring Road then Rockpile Road, 4.9mi/ +1,190' elevation gain/4.0% average gradient. After mile 13.8 all the climbing for the day is pretty much over and done with. We make our way to Healdsburg; take a breather at Veterans Memorial Beach and then it's a smooth 20 miles back to the start on the backroads along Hwy 101.
This ride is more about taking it slow and reveling in the verdant landscape of Sonoma County. If you plan to modify the route or you wish to ride much slower or faster than the group pace please provide your own navigation.
