About this event
Ride with us for our Sunday Pre-Picnic Rides with STAGGERED START TIMES. 2 routes, 26 miles/+1,600' counter clockwise Paradise Route or 44 miles/+3,000' out to Headlands + counter clockwise Paradise combo. The idea is for both groups to finish at around the same time, just in time for the Member's Picnic Event. PLEASE CHOOSE YOUR ROUTE CAREFULLY so you can be back for the Club Picnic from 12noon-3PM.
***The Pre-picnic Rides are open to all; registration is required. The Members' Picnic is open to members only and their guest; pre-registration for the picnic is required.Picnic Event Registration ***
Start location: Corte Madera Town Park, 28 Pixley Avenue, Corte Madera CA Map
Time: Short 26 Miles Route meet 9:45AM/roll 10AM 26 mi Route Map
Long 44 Miles Route meet 8:45AM/roll 9AM 44 mi Route Map
Pacing: Short Social Pace (12.5-13.9 mph average speed for the entire ride including climbs) with Elise Loftin and Margie Baer
Long Participant Led or ride at a Brisk pace 16+ mph (average pace for the whole ride) with Oren Levy
Remarks: For the Short route it is recommended you ride along at the ride leader's pace. If you plan on modifying the route or you wish to ride slower or faster please provide your own navigation. Regroups will be determined by the ride leader. For the Long 44 mile Participant Led route, find a small pod of riders who ride the same speed as you and away you go. You can also ride with Oren Levy a Brisk 16+ mph pace, a very fast pace; regroups will be minimal and short < 5 mins. Be sure to have the route downloaded to your bike computer or have a printed cue sheet.
Registration Info
Registration is required
-All riders must register to ride, members and non-members
-20% or more chance of rain at noon cancels the ride
-Must wear a helmet
-Please make sure your bike is in good maintenance
-Bring spare tube(s), mini pump/C02, or tubeless repair kit as necessary
-Day time running lights are highly recommended
-Please SHARE THE ROAD with motorists; ride as far to the right as practicable
-Please ride single file at all times; do not ride 2 abreast
-Please ride safely and responsibly at all times
-Please download the route to your bike computer or print out a route sheet
-Not a beginner's ride; please ride well within your abilities
