About this event
Do you remember the Earth Wind & Fire mega R&B hit in 1978, September? Groove along with us and may you quietly hum the catchy tune in your head. "Do you remember, the 21st night of September..."
"Let this groove get you to move..." 2 Rolling routes to choose from, 53 miles and 65 miles. The shorter 53 miles Social AB Pace ride will be lead by Susan Nawbary; we'd love for us to ride together as a group. The longer 65 miler will be participant led/leaderless. Afterwards, we can mosey on over to Pizza Hacker at Tam Junction, order up a few pizzas to share and check out what's on tap or discover your fav N.A beverage.
Start: Mill Valley bike turnabout near Southern Marin Sewerage Agency, 450 Sycamore Ave, Mill Valley, CA
Time: Meet 8:45AM/Roll 9AM
Social 53 miles w/ ride leader Susan Nawbary: Whites Hill, Nicasio Valley Road, regroup at Rancho Nicasio, return on Lucas Valley Road. Then we take the Redwood frontage Rd and go through Civic Center; do a China Camp lap, then meander our way through bike paths and a few backroads; a last breather at Corte Madera Town Park and up we climb on Chapman Drive back to home base. A flat 1.5 miles to Pizza Hacker. 53 miles Route Regroups and stops as necessary to be decided by the Ride Leader.
Moderate or Brisk Pace, 65 miles Leaderless: A little extra mileage, at mile 14 this route goes straight towards Samuel P. Taylor Park, then Platform Bridge Road, around the reservoir, back to Nicasio, Lucas Valley Road and so forth, same as the 53 miles route. 65 miles Route
