Details: Start from Pink Owl Coffee 1816 2nd Street, San Rafael. Ride at a Social AB Pace with Nigel Faulkner and Roger Smith (10.0-11.5 mph overall average speed including all climbs) or Moderate B Pace (11.6 mph-14.0 mph overall average speed including all climbs) with Billy Farrer.
Grab a pre-ride morning brew from Pink Owl then pedal away on a scenic coastal route of western Marin! Warm up on Whites Hill then glide through the long, shaded and swervy miles of silky smoothness to Samuel P. Taylor Park for a regroup. Roll on Hwy 1 to Stinson Beach town park for a brief snacks stop. Then it's up and at em' for the Shoreline Hwy rollers, followed by the 600 footer climb out of Muir Beach followed by a fast descent and you are almost back to the start. Not a beginners ride. If you want to hammer it then by all means; please make sure you know the way. We will be riding on Hwy 1 where there are long stretches with narrow shoulder and cars. Please space yourselves out and make room for cars to duck into. Exercise extreme caution.
