About this event
Join us for a monthly gravel ride out of Solstice Bike Works in Terra Linda. Meet: 10:45AM/Roll 11AM
Ample parking in the Solstice parking lot; opportunity to pick up a spare tube or CO2 cartridge before hitting the dirt.
Let's hit the ground running with a spicy road climb up to mission pass where we will regroup before hitting the dirt. Ride up Luiz Fire Road to catch 680. Carve down some fun 680 single track then dive into a few climbs with some switchbacks to test your bike handling skills. We’ll catch another fire road with our final climbs before hitting a fun dirt downhill to Lucas Valley Road. Roll down Lucas Valley and loop around to Freitas and back to Solstice.
Plenty of food options in the plaza around Solstice, so grab something to go and eat with us at the picnic tables outside Solstice. Mark curates an excellent selection of beers to accompany a meal, so pick one up from Solstice.
This will be a no drop ride so we will regroup often. Depending on attendance, we might have a fast and a slow group, but if there is no desire for a fast group, we’ll stick together. This ride isn’t an easy ride but it’s totally doable by everyone if you take your time. Gravel and MTBs are encouraged. Chunky tires are recommended since the terrain can get rocky. **Ebikes of all classes are not allowed on the Loma Alta and Terra Linda Open Spaces which this route travels on.**
**EBikes, all classes, are EXPRESSLY PROHIBITED from riding on unpaved roads and trails within the MMWD (Marin Municipal Water District), most California State Parks, Marin County Parks and Marin County Open Space Preserves. All MTB routes in the collection travel on unpaved trails within these restricted areas. For more information please review this Ebike policy link from MCBC Where Can You Ride an Ebike in Marin
