About this event

Train with us for the Marin Century! This ride is the third of 13 weekly Sundays, gradually progressing, to get you ready to ride 100 miles on August 1.

This week the distance is a bit longer. We will ride a classic 38 mile loop starting in Fairfax, through Nicasio Valley to Pt Reyes Station then return through Samuel P Taylor Park. This route goes the opposite direction from last two weeks so it will look and feel different.

There are four climbs, White Hill both directions, Olema Hill, and Nicasio Valley Road.  There will be two pace groups. One  averaging 11 - 13.5 mph moving speed and the other a little faster 14-15 mph.

Road bikes with slick tires are recommended. Make sure you have at least one, full, large water bottle.  Regroups for water and bathrooms at mile 9 (Nicasio),  mile 19 (Pt Reyes Station Mesa Rd porta potties) and mile 28 (Samuel P Taylor Park entrance restrooms).

You can come along whether you are riding the Century or not. If you missed the first couple of rides in this series, but feel able to ride 38 miles, come along!

***Please plan on carpooling, parking elsewhere then riding to the start or riding from home.  There will be very limited parking at the Split Rock Tap & Wheel lot and within the Fairfax business district.   Please mind any posted parking restrictions signage.***
