Climb Mt. Diablo on New Year's Day. Meet: 9:45 AM/ wheels roll: 10:00 AM.
Join Margie Baer for a Social Pace ride or Cisco Moran for a Moderate Pace ride.
Let's roll easy for the initial 2.5 miles to the park's North Gate Road entrance. From there climb as much as you like. The Junction Ranger Station is at mile 10.4/+2,176 for the shorter Almost There route OR for the full "With the Works" up to the summit, mile marker 14.9/+3,818'. Let's see if we can stay together on the way back. The ride is at a Social pace. If you wish to ride much faster or slower please provide your own navigation or find a small pod of buddies to ride with. We may duck into a coffee shop at the end.

Please upload the route to your bike computer or phone, or print out a turn by turn cue sheet for yourself. We may ride at different speeds and some of us may choose to summit or not.
Bring warm layers with you. It's cold as you get higher up and the descent is REALLY COLD. 20% or greater chance of rain cancels ride. Road closure(s) on the main roads in the park cancels ride.
