How do we recruit 300+ volunteers?  Make sure the event is fun for all and benefits some great organizations!

The Marin Cyclists hosts the Marin Century for the pure enjoyment of cycling and to give back to the community. The organizers of the Marin Century are all volunteers; there is no paid staff.  Here are the organizations we're proud to support!

 Marin County Bicycle Coalition 501(c)(3)

We are the cyclists improving your rides since 1998. The Marin County Bicycle Coalition (MCBC) has been steadily improving our county’s road and path facilities for walkers and bikers since we formed in 1998. You’ve seen the impact of our advocacy efforts in each of our towns: permanent bike racks, bike lane striping, green-and-white bike route signs, road resurfacing, ‘sharrow’ road stencils, and so much more. Marin County Bicycle Coalition goal is for 20% of all trips in Marin to be made by walking or bicycling.

Trips for Kids 501(c)(3)

For more than 24 years, Trips For Kids®(TFK®) Marin has been providing lessons in self-confidence, environmental awareness, and healthy habits to disadvantaged youth through the simple act of having fun on mountain bikes. Trips For Kids started in Marin and has grown into an international organization with more than 70 chapters operating in the United States, Canada, and Israel.
Trips For Kids Marin serves at-risk youth throughout the San Francisco Bay area, working with over 300 local organizations. The core offering of mountain bike rides is supplemented by the Earn-A-Bike programs and the Re-Cyclery bicycle thrift shop.

Velo Development

Ride4Vets & Marin Rotary 501(c)(3)

The Pathway home, funded by the Rotary Club is a "reverse boot camp" for veterans that has become a national model for the successful treatment of veterans struggling with PTSD.

The NorCal High School League 501(c)(3)

The NorCal High School League was organized to provide a well defined race season for junior racers and to promote the formation of teams at public high schools. With the cooperation of local race promoters and our sponsors we are able to provide the best cross-country junior race series in the United States. The League is working to make high school racing the easiest way for juniors to get involved in the challenging and exciting world of competitive cycling. Several League alumni athletes are now racing on professional teams at events like the Tour of California and the Sea Otter Classic
