We wish we had come up with the "Stressed spelled backwards..." palindrome but it is from Butter Love Bakeshop an adorable family operation opened by pastry chef Esa Yonn-Brown and her chef husband Josh Perez who live, eat and breathe pies, cookies, tarts and other fancy schmancy patisseries. "Make Pie, Buy Pie and Eat Pie" are wise words to live by. Butter Love Bakeshop is located in the Outer Richmond district at 3717 Balboa Ave (38th and 39th Ave) SF CA 94121 Meet: 9:45AM/Roll out: 10AM from Mill Valley Bike Path Turnabout, 450 Sycamore Ave, Mill Valley CA. **Additional Parking available 3 minutes away at Hauke Park public restrooms on 1 Hamilton Drive, Mill Valley right next to the Southern Marin Fire Station. We will ride at a relaxed A pace 11-13 mph average speed, 15-16 mph+ on the flats and slower on the climbs. We take the scenic route from Alexander Avenue to East Road to get to the bridge. After that we will ride on the periphery of The Tunnel Tops Park on Halleck Street. We'll climb Park Blvd, then to Lake Street, then El Camino Del Mar up to the Legion of Honor for a photo op. And that completes most of the climbing for the day. Butter Love Bakeshop is next on the itinerary. Everything in the shop is good so bring your baked goods cravings. We return by the way of JFK in the park. We'll get back into the Presidio from Arguello Blvd but we're not going to take that 50' leg burner. We'll take it easy and go around it.
