Calendar - Event View

Last month we traveled  out of Marin  for an adventure in Contra Costa.  The charming little town of Port Costa did not disappoint.  Our small but mighty group enjoyed  hearing about the history of the area from  our ride leader Melissa.  

This month we're staying in Marin. 
Starting at Pink Owl in San Rafael. 
Meet at 9:00 am for 9:15 start. 
Please be on time and ready to roll.   
We will not be waiting for those who arrive late. 

There is one significant climb of 1.3 miles to the the top of Whites Hill.  There is a full bike lane  all the way and a couple of pull outs.   We will regroup at the driveway of the old golf course where is a porta pottle available.  The next climb is short, just .7 mi and not steep, but there is no bike line and no shoulder in places.   A long but gentle uphill through the woods starts after our regroup in Nicasio up to Big Rock.   The Big Rock descent is long, steep in places with several sharp turns.  We will regroup again at Miller Creek where there is water and restrooms.    We'll wind through Terra Linda to the bike path and the final climb over Los Ranchitos and back to Pond Farm for no host lunch, libations and  a prize drawing for one lucky winner!
